Vermont State Police are asking for the public’s help in finding the person who stole numerous items – most of which are related to ice fishing – from a residence on Willoughby Lake Road in Brownington. Trooper Nathan Handy reported that the burglary happened sometime between July 29 and Sunday. The victims of the crime are Keith Herman, 20, and Allan Herman, 44, both of Barton. The Hermans told police that the property stolen consisted of two ice fishing sleds, a wooden toboggan, five jig sticks, 15-to-20 ice fishing tip-ups, an older model black in color Coleman generator, and a twin tank air compressor with a loud exhaust. The generator was stolen from inside the residence and the remaining property was stolen from the garage. Anyone with information on the incident or the stolen property, is asked to contact the Vermont State Police Derby Barracks at 802-334-8881.
